Cuban priest Jorge Luis Pérez Soto reported that he was prevented from entering a hospital in Havana to assist a patient in serious condition.
Through Facebook, the religious man stated that he was denied entry to the Manuel Fajardo Hospital after responding to the request of the relatives of a patient who is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), they asked him for the sacrament of Anointing.
In that sense, this Cuban priest, who is the parish priest of San Francisco de Paula, in the Diez de Octubre municipality, clarified that he was not mistreated, just that he was not allowed to enter the health center.
“Does not the possibility of family members requesting the sacraments of Faith for their dying patients and that they be spiritually and adequately accompanied by a minister of the Church concern religious freedom?”the religious man asked himself.

“I have been denied entry because it is prohibited. “Certainly, I have not been mistreated beyond the denial of a right,” he added.
These types of events show once again how religious freedom is violated within the communist island, a situation that was questioned by the Cuban priest.
