Cuban mother Edelvis Reina Fonseca del Toro, 51, has raised a voice of protest against the Cuban authorities in the San Miguel del Padrón municipality, Havana.
The reason is that the island’s regime threatens to evict her and demolish the modest home she built with her own hands in the Las Yaguas neighborhood, in the Cuncuní neighborhood, where she lives with her eight-year-old daughter.

“I haven’t taken anything from anyone. This was a garbage dump, which I cleaned with my efforts,” says Fonseca. “I built my little house and here I am with my daughter, because I have nowhere to be and I’m not going to go under a bridge.”
