Cuban television will broadcast live all the games of the Euro Cup and the Copa América, two of the most important international football competitions.
The information was provided by journalist Pavel Otero from his Facebook profile, adding that in the case of the Euro Cup, broadcasts will begin this Friday, June 14, while the Copa América will be broadcast from the 20th of this month.
This latest event, one of the most eagerly awaited by football fans around the world, will kick off in the US on June 20 and run through July 14.
The event will bring together 16 teams from across the continent, including the ten CONMEBOL countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela) and six invited teams from CONCACAF (Canada, Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico and the USA).
The 2024 edition will be attended by traditional teams seeking to reaffirm their dominance, and others will join them in their attempt to mark a milestone at the event.
The current champion, Argentina, will face Lionel Messi, who will probably be playing his last Copa America, while Brazil will participate with a new team.
Argentina is one of the tournament’s biggest winners, along with Uruguay, with 15 titles each. Brazil is next with 9 championships.
Euro 2024, meanwhile, will be held in Germany from 14 June to 14 July. The tournament, organised by UEFA, will bring together 24 European teams and will take place in 10 German cities, including Berlin, Munich and Hamburg.
The sporting event will be attended by national teams from Germany, Spain, Italy, France, England, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Croatia and Denmark, among others.
The most successful Euro 2020 winners are Germany and Spain, with three titles each. The current champion is Italy, who won the 2021 edition by beating England.
Regarding the live broadcast on Cuban television, some users have wondered how the country will obtain the official signal for both tournaments, especially given the background of the suspension due to lack of budget to buy the broadcast rights of the Volleyball Nations League, an event where Cuba is playing for a place in Paris 2024.
