A Cuban citizen was brutally murdered by her ex-husband, also from Cuba, in Irving, Texas.

According to reports on social media, the woman was leaving her residence on her way to work when she was stabbed by the man who had been her partner, with whom she had recently ended her relationship.

The victim’s name was Sucel Gómez, who recently turned 42 years old; while her attacker is called Yunier Aldazabal, 44 years old.

A neighbor of the Cuban woman in Texas said that the separation occurred recently and that the man had already threatened to kill her.

At the time the crime occurred, apparently, Aldazabal was hiding in the parking lot of the residences and when Gómez came out he took the opportunity to attack her.

In images circulating on social media, you can see the moment when forensic officers arrived at the scene to remove the body.

The attacker is under arrest.

The Antillean was a native of the Cueto municipality, in Holguín, where friends and loved ones mourn her tragic death.

From the messages of condolence, it appears that the woman worked as a teacher when she was on the island.

“My teacher, in these cases I am left speechless. I will always remember you as one of the best teachers I have ever had. You filled us with your love and made us grow every day. For each class you brought a motivation with the plan to make us feel comfortable. You were a teacher, a guide, a friend. Your departure leaves me with great pain. I don’t understand why these things happen to good people. May God take care of you, my love, wherever you are, RIP,” expressed an Internet user.
