Deportivo Cúcuta fell at home 0-1 to Llaneros in the match for date 10 of the BetPlay Tournament 2024, the poor results this season have been one of the main reasons for the dismissal of their coach.

Through its social networks, Cúcuta Deportivo confirmed the departure of its coach Álvaro Hernández, after two months of work at the helm of the ‘rojinegros’.

The coach had a short tenure in charge of ‘motilón’, as he only managed the nine matches at the start of the BetPlay Tournament 2024-II.

Hernández has a long experience in Colombia’s professional second division, having managed teams such as Internacional de Palmira, Leones, and Unión Magdalena.

For its part, Cúcuta expects to announce the new coach of the team in the coming days.
