Cultural richness of Burkina Faso highlighted in Essaouira in Morocco
Essaouira, July 3, 2024 (AIB) – Burkina Faso presented some of its cultural wealth on Wednesday at the “global village”, an activity on the sidelines of “Seeds for the future” initiated by Huawei North Africa. The event brings together fifteen countries from the continent from July 3 to 8, 2024 in the Moroccan port city of Essaouira.
Saponé hats, fine Faso Danfani clothing, a statue of Princess Yennenga and many other cultural objects from Burkina Faso were majestically displayed at the Essaouira Media Library in Morocco.
This is the beautiful show offered by Burkinabè participants in the “global village” initiated by Huawei North Africa as part of the “Seeds for the Future” program that will take place from July 3 to 8, 2024 in Morocco.
According to the organizers, this activity was started to allow each of the 15 countries participating in the forum to show the richness of their cultures and thus encourage cultural mixing.
Therefore, in addition to the cultural exhibition, the participants from each country performed traditional dance steps for the enjoyment of the audience. The Burkinabè team chose the song “Panaki Panazoé” by Jean Claude Bamogo.
Through “warba” stages, they captivated the audience with their know-how. Traditional Burkinabè objects attracted the curiosity of several visitors who wanted to know the story behind each object.
It is therefore a matter of satisfaction that this activity ended with the participation of the delegation of the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Morocco.
