Chief Minister MK Stalin has ordered the imposition of new restrictions in the context of increasing corona spread in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government has announced that the curfew has been extended till January 10.

Direct classes from 1st to 8th grade are banned in all schools to prevent the spread of corona. The government has ordered that only 50 per cent of customers be allowed in theaters, beauty salons, restaurants, hostels, clothing stores, jewelery shops and salons, and only 50 per cent of seats on metro trains.

Also, only 100 people are allowed to attend wedding-related events and 50 people at death-related events. All exhibitions and book fairs will be postponed. Kindergarten and nursery schools are also banned from operating.

In some lines of the new restrictions:

Corona curfew in Tamil Nadu extended till January 10

Only 50 percent of customers are allowed in restaurants and cafes

Marriage and related events should not exceed 100 people and death related events should not exceed 50 people

Gyms and yoga training centers are allowed to operate with up to 50% of the population

Passengers are allowed only 50% of the seats on the Metro train

Schools, colleges and vocational training institutes will continue to follow the guidelines from class 9 to class 12.

Permission to work with 50% of the audience in all theaters, including theaters

Beauty salons and salons are allowed to operate with up to 50% of customers

All exhibitions and book fairs are currently on hold
