BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that curfew has been imposed to take revenge on the people who protested against the government around the quota reform movement.
He said these things in a statement on Tuesday (July 23). Mirza Fakhrul said in a statement signed by Taiful Islam Tipu, deputy secretary of BNP, that evidence of casualties is being destroyed around the quota reform movement. The internet was cut off to hide the horrific incident from the world. The killers and attackers must be brought to justice immediately.
BNP Secretary General also said that the kind of statements given by the administration officials about the students’ movement shows that they are holding a position of the government party.
Mirza Fakhrul also said that the speech given by the Prime Minister against BNP last Monday is completely baseless, fictitious and includes an ax attack on BNP ideals. We strongly condemn it. BNP can never take a stand against the people. Good governance and rule of law cannot be established everywhere until this government resigns and democracy is established. So we are once again demanding the resignation of this divisive and voteless government.
BNP Secretary General demanded withdrawal of cases against activists and their unconditional release.
