Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that curfew will be relaxed for 9 hours from 8 am to 5 pm in the capital Dhaka on Friday and Saturday. He said this after a meeting with the heads of various law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies at his residence in Dhanmondi of the capital on Thursday (July 25) night.
The Home Minister said that apart from Dhaka, curfew is relaxed from 8 am to 5 pm on Friday and Saturday in Gazipur, Narayanganj, Narsingdi districts. The next situation will be informed after reviewing the situation. A combing operation by the law enforcement agencies continues to nab those involved in the recent vandalism.
The curfew will be enforced again from 5 pm in these areas. The concerned district administration will decide about the other districts of the country.
Earlier, curfew was relaxed in four districts including Dhaka from 10 am to 5 pm on Thursday. On this day curfew in other districts as per the decision of local administration. During the relaxation of curfew, bank transactions are open from 11 am to 3 am across the country. And trading in the stock market continues until 2 pm.
Curfew was relaxed on Wednesday from 10 am to 5 pm. Curfew was relaxed from 1 pm to 5 pm in 4 districts including Dhaka on Tuesday.
