From today Sunday (July 28) 3 days from 7 am to 6 pm i.e. 11 hours curfew will be relaxed in the capital. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said this after a meeting with the law and order forces in Dhanmondi at night.

Apart from that, curfew will be relaxed on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 am to 6 pm in Gazipur and Narayanganj as well, said the Home Minister. Earlier, curfew was relaxed for 9 hours from 8 am to 5 pm in Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj and Narsingdi districts on Saturday. Curfew started again later in the afternoon.

Common people move freely during relaxation. However, law and order forces are on alert to deal with any untoward situation in the capital. Police were deployed at various important points. Armed forces also patrol. Traffic including public transport was normal on the road. Shops were also crowded during the relaxation of curfew.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Administration said on Saturday that government and private offices will start from 9 am on Sunday. Office will end at 3 PM. This rule will continue till next Tuesday.

On the other hand, banks and financial institutions will run on the new schedule from Sunday to Tuesday. All banks and financial institutions of the country will be open from 10 am to 3:30 pm during curfew relaxation on these three days i.e. 28, 29 and 30 July.
