On Friday (July 26), after visiting various raw markets including Dhanmondi in the capital and talking to the sellers, it is known that the raw pepper which was sold at 600 taka per kg last week is being sold at 200 taka today. Also, the prices of all other vegetables have decreased due to good supply this week compared to last week.
Today, in the raw markets of the capital, one can see that eggplant is 100 taka per kg, bitter gourd is 100 taka, papaya is 40 to 50 taka depending on the size, green leaves are 80 taka, carrot is 180 taka, green chili is 200 taka, each piece of gourd, cabbage and cauliflower is 70 to 80 taka. , Tomato 160 Taka, Chichinga 60, Cucumber 70, Barabati 100, Dherash 50, Potal 50, Pumpkin 40 Taka, Kankrol 80 are being sold.
On the other hand, the prices of daily necessities in the grocery market have remained stable at high prices. Domestic onion is selling at 120 taka and imported onion is selling at 110 taka. Potatoes are being sold at 60 rupees. Garlic is being sold at Tk 220 and Ginger at Tk 320.
Meanwhile, broiler chicken is being sold at Tk 20 per kg. Golden chicken is being sold at the rate of Tk 300 to 350 per kg. Beef is being sold at Tk 800 per kg and beef at Tk 1100 per kg.
Due to the good production and supply of fish, the price of almost all fish has decreased by Tk 50 to Tk 100 this week compared to last week. Now medium size roo fish is being sold for Tk 280 to Tk 300. 50 kg of cultivation is Tk 160 to Tk 170, Tilapia Tk 200 to Tk 220, Kai Tk 180, Horn Tk 400, Coral Tk 680 to Tk 700, Pabda Manved Tk 400 to Tk 450, Prawns Tk 700 to Tk 800.
Imran Khandkar, a vendor at the Banlata raw market in the capital’s New Market, told RisingBD that the price of vegetables in the raw market has decreased this week compared to last week. Noman Hasan, a private employee who came to buy in Salek Garden raw market in the capital, told RisingBD that the sellers are saying that the prices are decreasing. But now you can’t buy a bag of vegetables for 1000 taka. The prices of fish, meat, eggs are beyond the affordability of common people.
