  • 60% of rural households have access to piped clean drinking water under the Jal Jeevan scheme. More than 66 crore households and 58 crore people have access to clean drinking water through this pipeline.
  • The scheme has 100% enrollment in 5 states namely Gujarat, Telangana, Goa, Haryana and Punjab and 3 Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Daman Diu, Haveli and Puducherry.

  • WRIT PETITION (C) OF HON’BLE SUPREME COURT NO. 59/2013 vide judgment 1283/2021, certain amendments have been made in section (26AAA) of section 10 of the Income Tax Act, 2023 by the Finance Act, 1961. .
  • For the purpose of removing doubts, it is hereby clarified that the term “Sikkimese” as defined for the purposes of the said clause shall be for the purposes of the Income Tax Act, 1961 only and not for any other purpose.

  • A Geographical Code is given to identify agricultural products, natural products, handicrafts etc. traditionally produced in a particular place. It stands as a testament to the pride of the place of manufacture, the heritage and high quality of the products.
  • In Tamil Nadu, 45 products have been given geographical indication, and 11 more products have been given geographical indication. With this, Tamil Nadu has got 56 products and is the first in India.
