According to “Apetito”, it is remarkable that vegetarian dishes are becoming increasingly important, such as pesto pans, vegetable curries or chili sin carne. A spokeswoman sees the trend towards more conscious eating as the reason for the falling demand for currywurst.
Until 2019, the currywurst was the permanent leader. Then, after a whopping 28 years, she was dethroned by Spaghetti Bolognese. Now it went down one place to third place. But at a whopping 800 to 1000 calories, it’s not exactly a light, healthy meal either…
