Drymond Green will want to forget Game 3 of the 2022 Finals as soon as possible. Green arrived tonight (Wednesday-Thursday) at TD Garden and surrendered 116: 100 with Golden State to Boston en route to a 2-1 deficit in the series, but the end result was only a small part of his dismal evening.
Green suffered contempt whistles in the warm-up, derogatory cries from the start and recorded another shocking offensive performance while defending six offenses and coming off the floor in the final minutes amid tremendous cheering in the green. The Warriors forward who survived the dismissal in the previous game played 35 minutes and finished with 2 points (1 of 4 from the field), 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
In three games in the final Green stands at a cumulative 15 points, 26% from the field, 0 from 7 from three and 5 from 10 from penalties. It also has more losses than field baskets. At the press conference he said: “I played shit. I did not get into the rhythm on offense or defense, in the next games I will have to get into the rhythm faster.”
While Celtics fans have repeatedly cracked cries of “Fuck You Drymond” / “Bad Drymond”, the network has mocked the Golden State defensive stopwatch for focusing too much on his podcasts and too little on basketball. The “StatMuse” page reads: “Green has 17 podcasts in the playoffs and 14 games with a double-digit number of points, rebounds or assists.”
The network wrote: “Drymond was quick to end the game to concentrate on his next episode on the podcast.” Also a legend of the past Isaiah Thomas Criticized: “Drymond is not talking about Jaylen Brown, Jason Taitum or Marcus Smart, or talking about podcasts.
