Hefazat Islam Bangladesh has called for protection of state assets and peace and order and security of minorities.
The leaders of the Hefazte Islam Bangladesh executive committee called for an emergency meeting on ‘decisions to be made in the current situation and context of the country’ at Jamia Madania Baridhara in the capital on Tuesday (August 6) morning. The meeting was presided over by Senior Naib of Custody Amir Allama Khalil Ahmad Kasemi.
Congratulating the brave students and people of Bangladesh, Allama Khalil Ahmad Qasemi said that this tyrannical government has fallen at the cost of thousands of lives and through a historic revolution. The departure of this tyrant has paved the way for the restoration of the spoiled human rights of this nation. In this joyous time of the downfall of the Awami dictator, let’s celebrate the moment of victory of the students’ movement in a calm manner.
He said, ‘Please do not resist, retaliate or be vengeful to anyone. No one will take the law into their own hands, so that our glorious victory won’t go astray because of a little mistake. We call on the country and the nation to be alert and watchful with awareness in this regard.’
Allama Sheikh Sajidur Rahman, Secretary General of Hefazat said, “Today we have been freed from a cruel fascist government. During the rule of this government, how many parents have lost their beloved children and lamented, how many children have lost their parents and are living a helpless life, how many mothers and sisters have lost their beloved husband who is the only working person in their family, there is no calculation. This murderous government has carried out numerous horrific massacres in this country in the last 15 years.
He also said that this tyrannical Awami government massacred the army in Pilkhana in 2009. In 2012, after the alleged verdict against Maulana Delawar Hossain Saeedee, the movement led to mass killings of the general public. In 2013, Shapla Square carried out a brutal massacre of Prophet-loving Tauhidi people including Ulamae Keram. In 2021, Alem-Ulama and Tawhidi people including Tawhidi people were massacred in the center of the anti-idolatry movement. In recent times, they have carried out brutal massacres of students around the anti-discrimination quota reform movement by instigating the government-backed law and order forces and party terrorist cadres of Chhatra League and Jubo League. This government has emptied the chests of countless mothers by disappearing, murdering and abducting them. None of those who have bled their hands by brutally torturing and oppressing the Ulamae Keram and the public, should not be able to escape from this country; We strongly appeal to His Excellency the President and the Chief of Army Staff, who is a symbol of the people’s trust, to take that measure.
The Secretary General also said that we humbly appeal to the people of the country to refrain from activities that disturb the peace and order of the country. Do not damage private property or state property in this victory celebration. The security of the country’s minorities of different religions must be guaranteed. We request the religious scholars, madrasa students and leaders and activists of all political parties of the country to guard the Hindu temples, their homes and houses. In such a situation, the state should build resistance in the neighborhood to avoid any unpleasant and unwanted disaster. One cannot engage in any kind of conflict with any state forces by stepping into the trap of provocation.
