Doha: Customs authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs into Qatar. The hashish was hidden inside a gramophone that arrived in the mail. During the inspection conducted by the postal department under the Air Cargo and Private Airports Customs in Qatar, the drugs that were tried to be smuggled in were found.

Customs has warned that all violations will be detected during the inspections carried out by the continuously trained customs officers with the help of modern equipment. A statement issued by Customs said that officials are aware of the latest methods adopted by smugglers.
