In Weerawanallur, the police are searching for 3 mysterious persons who hacked the owner of a jewelery shop with a scythe last night and looted 5 kg of gold.
Jewelry Chancellor
Maideenpichai (age 55), son of Asanar of Puthumanai Street, Weeravanallur, Nellai District. He runs a jewelery shop in Weerawanallur Main Bazaar. He locked the shop as usual at 10pm last night and was walking home with the bag in which the jewelery was kept.
When we went to the street near the house, there came 3 mysterious persons on a motorcycle.
Plunder cut with a scythe
In the blink of an eye all 3 of them are said to have cut the maiden with a scythe and snatched the joke and fled from there.
Upon learning about this, the Weerawanallur police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured Maithinpichai. He then told the police that 5 kg of gold jewelery brought from the shop had been looted by mysterious persons.
He was immediately rushed to Nellai Eekarundu Government Hospital for treatment by the police. Also, police have begun an investigation by capturing footage recorded on surveillance cameras in the area where the robbery took place.
