Kumar Vishwas has written on X – ‘The extent and audacity of cyber crime in the country is that a criminal calling himself IPS Akash from Hyderabad is wearing a full IPS uniform and video calling one of our housemaids that her son (who does not have a son) is wanted in cyber crime. He is asking for money and abusing her. Governments will have to curb these criminals in time otherwise simple people will continue to be exploited.’

Two fraudsters were caught in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad’s cyber police station recently arrested two miscreants who cheated in the name of insurance. In this, information was received about the data leak of a private company’s customer. In this regard, the miscreants trapped the victim by luring the policy holder of the same company in the cyber police station by promising to get the agent’s commission on completion of the policy and then transferred Rs 6 lakh 70 thousand to different accounts. ADCP Crime said that a case has been registered on the complaint of Shankar Singh Rawat, a resident of Nandgram, and the matter is being investigated.

Cheated in the name of commission

Shankar Singh said that he received a call in the name of the company and was given full details of his policy, even the EMI he pays. According to the victim, he was told that about 83 thousand rupees from his policy were going to the commission agent. After which he was told to lodge a complaint. In this way, after charging many types of fees and making excuses, the accused took 6 lakh 70 thousand rupees.
