The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, ignited a controversy about the behavior of people on social networks by publishing several messages to herself in the language of hatred, DPA reported.

Hate displayed on social networks is not something new, Frederiksen wrote on “Instagram”. “Bullying, sexism, abuse, hatred and threats – for many it is part of everyday life,” she said, adding that it deeply disturbed her.

The Danish prime minister pointed to young people who, after participating in shows, became the object of racist and hateful publications, as well as threatened journalists, researchers, civil servants, athletes and politicians.

Recently, a number of insults and threats have been directed against her, and to an extent unknown to her until now, noted Frederiksen, quoted by DPA.

“When you are the head of the government, it is natural to have a higher threshold of tolerance, but there are comments that are so aggressive that no one should tolerate them,” she stated.
