CD Projekt officially revealed the upcoming release of ‘Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition’an edition in digital and physical format, which will feature the base game and its recent expansion ‘Phantom Liberty’. However, its launch will come with some interesting details, especially when we talk about the physical edition.
It turns out that, as explained VGC those who spoke with the developer, the Xbox Series X/S version will come in three discs, which will include Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty. The PS5 version will only include the base game on one disc, while the expansion will have to be downloaded separately.
There will also be a physical version for PC users, although this will be limited to containing code for the platform GOG, owner of CD Projekt, where you can download the aforementioned content. As explained by the creators of ‘The Witcher’ saga, the differences occur mainly due to technical issues of each platform.
It seems that there will no longer be new content for CD Projekt’s controversial RPG, since in September 2023, the game director, Gabe Amatangelo, revealed that they were not planning to release major content and the team is focusing on new projects. A sequel is in development, along with the remake of ‘The Witcher’.
Returning to the ‘Ultimate Edition’ this will be released next December 5th.
