Cycling: FRMC AGM held in Salé for the 2022-2023 season

During this meeting, marked by the presence of representatives of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and the Moroccan National Olympic Committee, the moral and financial reports and the budget for the following financial year were unanimously approved.

The moral report focused on the activities of the board of directors during the 2022-2023 season in addition to its initiatives taken, aimed at improving sports practice, promoting the technical level of athletes as well as increasing the number of international participations of Moroccan runners.

The document also reviewed the national racing program for the year 2023, marked by the organization of 73 races, including 11 national championships and Grand Prix, 5 national road races, 2 regional tours, 10 mountain bike races, 28 regional closed circuit races, 14 regional road races and 3 regional championships. According to the report, the FRMC continued its strategy of organizing international races in Morocco, such as the 11th edition of the HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan international challenge and the 4th international challenge of phosphate cities.

As for the financial report, it looked at the financial situation of the Federation during the past financial year and which concerned income and expenditure.

In this sense, the secretary general of the FRMC, Lahcen Kharssi told MAP that the general assembly was an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable results signed in 2023, noting that the efforts made by the federation have borne fruit, notably with the qualification of two riders for the Paris Olympic Games, in addition to the participation of Moroccan cycling in the Paralympic Games.

This AGM also saw the appointment of the presidents and members of the disciplinary bodies in addition to the examination of the proposals made by the various members.
