India Meteorological Department has issued an important announcement. According to this, Chitrang cyclone center is located at a distance of 430 km from Sagar island area and 580 km from Parisal area. The storm will intensify into a severe storm in the next 24 hours and make landfall between Tinkona Island and Santviku on the Bangladesh coast.
A warning has been issued for North, South, Parganas and East Midnapore regions of West Bengal due to this storm. Also, due to the storm warning, fishermen have been advised not to go fishing in the Bay of Bengal today and tomorrow.
