Cylinder explodes at hospital in Pakistan; Four people were injured

Punjab: A cylinder exploded at Shehbaz Sharif Hospital in Multan, Pakistan. Following this, the first floor of the hospital caught fire. Four people, including two women, were seriously injured in the incident.

The cylinder, which was kept in the hospital’s laboratory, was reported to have exploded. The blast at the hospital shattered the windows of nearby buildings. However, Pakistani media reported that the director of the emergency rescue unit said that no preliminary investigation had found any evidence that the cylinder had exploded.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amir Kareem said officials were investigating the motive behind the blast. The injured and other patients were shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
