Nicosia: Nicos Christodoulides has won the presidential election in Cyprus with 51.9 percent of the vote. Elections were held to elect a new president in Cyprus. In this, more than 4.05 lakh voters cast their votes. 72.4 percent voter turnout. In this election, 49-year-old former foreign minister Nikos Christodoulides won 51.9 percent of the vote. His opponent, 66-year-old Andreas Mevroyannis, received 48.1 percent of the vote. Nicos was subsequently elected as the new president.
