Eurovision 2025: Theo Evan will represent Cyprus
Theo Evan will represent Cyprus at the Eurovision 2025 song contest, as announced by the Public Broadcasting Corporation (RIK). The music competition will take place from May 13 to May 17 in Switzerland.
Specifically, as stated on the official website of the Eurovision song contest, Theo Evan is the first artist to be announced for participation in the upcoming 69th edition of the music event.
Theo Evan’s song, which will be released later, will be the 41st entry for Cyprus in the Eurovision song contest. To date, Cyprus’s best result in the Eurovision song contest was the second place achieved in Lisbon in 2018 when Eleni Foureira performed “Fuego.” Since then, Cyprus has had four other entries that qualified for the grand final of the Eurovision song contest, with the most recent being in 2024 when Silia Kapsis represented the country with the song “Liar,” finishing in 15th place with 78 points.
Eurovision 2025: Who is Theo Evan
Theo Evan is a singer and dancer since the age of 7 and a songwriter since his teenage years. His journey in the Eurovision song contest 2025 will be a new chapter in the story of an artist who has always had a passion for music.
Born in Nicosia, Theo Evan spent his early years taking dance lessons, singing in his school choir, and participating in various theatrical performances and talent shows across Cyprus, often winning awards and accolades for his efforts.
After graduating from The English School in Nicosia, Theo Evan moved to the USA to study music and performance at the internationally renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. He graduated with honors and was an honored guest at the university’s graduation ceremony on three occasions, alongside names like Missy Elliot, Pharrell Williams, John Legend, and Justin Timberlake.
Theo Evan released his first single titled “The Wall” in 2021 and has since produced many songs, inspired by Stromae, Michael Jackson, and reggaeton. Notably, Theo Evan also appeared as a supporting actor in the successful HBO television series “Euphoria.”
