STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP. The scholarships granted on criteria to the students are revalued on this day of the start of the school year. Find all the new amounts for each level.
[Mis à jour le 1er septembre 2022 à 08h07] As of this Thursday, September 1, the amount of scholarships allocated to students is revalued by 4% under the purchasing power law. All levels are concerned, from 0 to 7. This scholarship is awarded to students according to different criteria such as the studies. It is right to undergo initial training in a public or private educational establishment authorized to receive grant holders. Re age, you must be under 28 years of age during the 1re scholarship application on 1is September of the year of studies. This age limit can be extended depending on the duration of volunteering in the armed forces, civic service or international volunteering. Finally, the resources. For the 2022-2023 academic year, the income used is that received in 2020 (tax notice of 2021) and must not exceed certain resource ceilings set by the decree of July 18, 2022.
This year, the Crous payment date is set for 5 of the month. Please note that the transfer can also arrive either a day earlier or slightly later depending on the processing times of your bank. The 10 month annual rates distributed to students can range from 1 084 euros for’step 0 bis at 5 965 euros for’rung 7. As a reminder, the scholarship based on social criteria has 8 levels corresponding to an annual scholarship amount. It is the overall gross income of the parents for the year 2020 (tax notice 2021) which is taken into account to determine the level from which the student will benefit at the start of the 2022-2023 school year. The student can only receive it for 7 years, and its maintenance depends on progress in studies, attendance at classes and attendance at exams.
The amount of the next return has been revealed. For the start of the 2022-2023 academic year, the annual amount is between 1,084 euros for level 0 bis and 5,965 euros for level 7. Scholarship students also benefit from certain advantages: exemption from registration at university, exemption from the CVEC (Student life and campus contribution) and priority for obtaining Crous student accommodation. To be eligible for the student grant, you must have the nationality French, be under the age of 28 on the 1stis September of the academic year and follow a course that can accommodate scholarship students. To benefit from it beyond the age of 28, you must continue your studies. If the Commission for the Rights and Autonomy of Persons with Disabilities (CDAPH) recognizes that you are disabled, then no age condition is applied. The scholarship is awarded subject to the family’s means.. Ceilings not to be exceeded are thus determined.
For the 2021-2022 academic year, the 2020 tax notice on 2019 income is taken into account. In addition to income, the number of dependent children and the distance from the place of study come into account.. Load points are thus fixed and determine the ceiling of resources not to be exceeded.
- If your place of study is located between 30 and 249 km from your home: 1 point
- If your place of study is located more than 250 km away: 2 points
- For each other dependent child: 2 points
- For each other dependent child, student, work-study or initial training: 4 points

A simulator is available to estimate the amount of the student grant. To do this, you must go to the Crous website at the following address: https://simulateur.lescrous.fr/. You must indicate the income of the family, as well as the number of dependent children. You must also specify the distance between your home and your place of study.
To obtain a student grant for the 2021-2022 academic year, you must complete a student social file (DSE), via the messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr website with the various supporting documents (tax notice, school certificate, etc.). …) before May 15, 2022. Before starting the seizure, remember to prepare the 2020 tax notice on the 2019 family income. Note: if you use Parcoursup, remember to create your Parcoursup account before doing your DSE. - A copy of your parents’ tax notice(s), as well as the separation judgment if your parents are separated
- Your own tax opinion if you have it. “If you are married or in a civil partnership, the couple’s income must be greater than or equal to 90% of the minimum wage for it to be taken into account”, it is specified.
- Copy of your education documents
Once all the steps have been taken, you must obtain a summary with, if necessary, the missing documents. “The Crous of the academy where you are currently studying will be your single point of contact during the investigation of your file, even if you wish to study in another academy”, we can read.
If you do not complete your file before May 15, rest assured it will still be examined and processed. On the other hand, the deadline for payment of the scholarship will be longer. To note : for your file to be fully validated and for you to actually receive your scholarship, you must send the Crous “proof of your enrollment in higher education. This is most of the time the certificate of schooling.
The date of the first payment of the student grant intervenes August 30, provided that your Student Social File and all formalities are finalized before August 25. For the following months, the Crous make “the payment” on date, that is to say before the 5th of the month. You must generally allow five to ten days for the payment to be effective on your Bank account.
