It was painful, laborious, but PSG finally got through it. Opposed to a Fleury team which undoubtedly deserved better, the Parisiennes relied on an individual exploit from Jackie Groenen at the end of added time (90th + 6) to win at the Loges camp. Served at the entrance to the area, the Dutchwoman succeeded in her oriented control, before caressing the opponent’s top corner with a beautiful right curl. This fourth consecutive success, acquired at the end of the suspense, places PSG in third place in D1 Arkéma, with two games in hand.

Before this liberating goal, the Parisiennes had long been mistreated by the eye-catching Floriacumoises. Everything started ideally, however, with an early opening score with a header by Marie-Antoinette Katoto (12th), author of her 150th goal with PSG, the second this season for the attacker returning from a serious injury. Goalkeeper Katarzyna Kiedrzynek kept PSG in the match several times thereafter, but could do nothing on the recovery of her Polish compatriot Ewelina Kamczyk, ideally served by Rosemonde Kouassi (40th).

A favorable rebound after the disillusionment in Amsterdam

Sometimes clumsy, sometimes unlucky (they were deprived of a penalty which seemed blatant at the end of the match), Jocelyn Prêcheur’s Parisiennes finally dismissed rivals who long believed they would achieve a first victory in their history against PSG. They thus reassured themselves, four days after their surprise defeat against Ajax (2-0) in the Champions League.

Here they are back on the podium with 15 points, just ahead of their evening opponents (4th, 13 points) and nine lengths behind OL, who continued their flawless performance against Dijon (4-1) on Friday. But Sandy Baltimore’s teammates have two games in hand, against Guingamp and Reims, to make up part of their deficit. They are also three points behind Paris FC, runner-up to OL, who face Bordeaux on Sunday evening for the last match of this 8th day (9 p.m.).
