This is a level III technical infrastructure project implemented on an area of 49 hectares in Danang University Building Planning Area (Hoa Quy ward, Ngu Hanh Son district). Total investment is more than 300 billion VND. This is also the first item to be implemented out of a total of 7 construction items for the project.
The main items of the project include: leveling the land on an area of approximately 32 hectares; Construction of 8 roads with a total length of 4,750m; Rainwater drainage system 8,300m long; The waste water drainage system is more than 4,500m long; waste water treatment station with a capacity of 275 m³/day and night; The water supply and fire protection system is almost 5,000m long; Power supply system with medium voltage cable approximately 3,200m long as well as modern lighting, communication and surveillance camera systems.
The construction time is expected to be around 400 days, ending at the end of 2025. The contractors include: DACINCO Construction Investment Company Limited, VINADELTA Joint Stock Company, Global Electrical Engineering Joint Stock Company and Minh Cuong Thinh Electrical Technical Services Trading Company Limited.
This technical infrastructure project will promote the development of Da Nang University facilities, increase the efficiency of the use of existing works and pave the way for future large-scale projects.
The Prime Minister has decided on sub-project 1 with a scale of more than 2,760 billion VND (equivalent to more than 117 million USD) for investment policy from mixed capital sources of ODA loans of the World Bank’s International Development Agency.
The total amount of the loan is 98 million USD and the domestic counterparty capital is almost 20 million USD. Therefore, the Central Budget allocates 90%, Da Nang University receives a loan and reciprocates 10%.
This is a national flagship project of group A, which is strategic in the development of higher education and scientific research in Vietnam.
The investment project will improve the quality of teaching and research at Danang Universityimprove and significantly improve the quality of the academic facilities and environment. Thus contributing to the overall development goal of Da Nang University to be a centre of training, scientific research and technological development according to international standards, raising the level of Da Nang University to become a National University.

What are the key benefits of the technical infrastructure project at Danang University for the local community?
Title: Building for the Future: A Deep Dive into Danang’s Technical Infrastructure Project
Interviewer: Welcome to Time.news, where today we are excited to explore the significant technical infrastructure project recently launched in the Danang University Building Planning Area. Joining us is Dr. Nguyen Minh, an expert in civil engineering and urban development. Thank you for being here, Dr. Minh!
Dr. Nguyen Minh: Thank you for having me! It’s a pleasure to discuss this vital project.
Interviewer: Let’s dive right into it. This project covers a substantial area of 49 hectares with a remarkable investment of over 300 billion VND. What makes this project particularly significant for Danang’s development?
Dr. Nguyen Minh: This project is pivotal as it represents the first step in a larger plan to enhance the infrastructure of Danang University, which plays a crucial role in the region’s educational landscape. By focusing on leveling the land, building roads, and implementing essential drainage and water supply systems, the project aims to create a more robust and efficient campus environment. These improvements will facilitate better learning conditions and also attract more students and researchers.
Interviewer: Absolutely. The infrastructure includes impressive features like an 8,300m long rainwater drainage system and a wastewater treatment station with a capacity of 275 m³ per day. How do these elements contribute to sustainability?
Dr. Nguyen Minh: Excellent question! Effective drainage and wastewater treatment systems are vital for environmental sustainability. The rainwater drainage system will prevent flooding, especially during the rainy season, which is critical for protecting infrastructure and maintaining a safe campus. Moreover, the wastewater treatment station will ensure that any water treated meets safety standards before being released back into the environment. This minimizes pollution and demonstrates a commitment to sustainable practices, aligning with global green standards.
Interviewer: The contractors involved include some notable names, such as DACINCO and VINADELTA. How important is collaboration in a project of this scale?
Dr. Nguyen Minh: Collaboration is essential in large-scale projects. Each contractor brings different expertise and resources to the table, which is vital for managing the complexity of construction tasks. Working together ensures that quality is maintained across all aspects of the infrastructure, from electricity to water systems, and helps in adhering to timelines, in this case, an expected 400 days of construction.
Interviewer: Speaking of timelines, the project completion is set for the end of 2025. What challenges do you anticipate during this period?
Dr. Nguyen Minh: Several challenges could arise, including potential delays due to weather conditions or supply chain issues. Additionally, coordinating between multiple contractors while maintaining quality standards can pose logistical challenges. However, with effective project management and communication, these issues can be minimized.
Interviewer: The investment strategy involves mixed capital sources, including ODA loans from the World Bank. How does this funding model benefit infrastructure projects?
Dr. Nguyen Minh: Mixed funding is quite strategic as it reduces financial risks for a single entity. ODA loans often come with favorable terms, enabling local governments to invest in crucial infrastructure without overwhelming their budgets. This approach not only supports immediate development but also encourages future investment in education and technology sectors.
Interviewer: You mentioned that this project paves the way for future initiatives. What can we expect next for Danang University and the surrounding area?
Dr. Nguyen Minh: With the infrastructure improvements, we may see an increase in academic programs and research initiatives. Enhanced facilities will attract more partnerships with local and international institutions, which can lead to innovation hubs and further economic development in Danang. The groundwork set by this project can significantly contribute to the region’s reputation as a center for higher education in Southeast Asia.
Interviewer: Thank you, Dr. Minh, for your insights on this transformative project. It’s clear that the technical infrastructure being built will have a lasting impact on both the university and the surrounding community.
Dr. Nguyen Minh: Thank you for the opportunity! I look forward to seeing how this project unfolds and its positive effects on the region.
Interviewer: And thank you, our audience, for joining us on this insightful discussion. Stay tuned for more updates on educational and infrastructural developments in Vietnam.
