The Department of Medicine and Public Welfare has released a report this evening on the corona impact situation in Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, out of 1,54,912 samples tested in Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours, 28,561 have been confirmed infected. Yesterday’s impact was 26981 and today it is over 28 thousand.
The total number of corona confirmed persons in the state has increased to 30 lakh 42 thousand 796. The vulnerability rate has risen to 18.4 percent.
New infections are being reported in large numbers in Chennai. In Chennai, 7520 people have been confirmed infected in a single day today. Corona has been confirmed in 2196 people in Chengalpattu, 3390 in Coimbatore, 998 in Tiruvallur, 738 in Kanchipuram, 1148 in Kanyakumari, 718 in Madurai and 897 in Tirupur.
Today 19,978 people have been discharged after treatment in a single day. Thus the total number of people recovering from corona in Tamil Nadu has increased to 28 lakh 26 thousand 479.
The Corona virus has killed 39 people in a single day today. The death toll from the corona has risen to 37,112. The number of corona patients receiving treatment has increased to 1,79,205 across Tamil Nadu.
