Thiruvananthapuram: Daily new covid cases in the country have crossed 1000. In the last 24 hours, 1071 people have been infected with the new covid in the country. There has been a tenfold increase in Covid cases within a month. The number of cases reached less than 100 (95) on February 21 and has increased to more than a thousand today. Before this, more than a thousand new cases were reported in the country on November 10.
Maharashtra (249), Gujarat (179), Kerala (163) and Karnataka (121) have reported the highest number of cases. An increase was also recorded in Tamil Nadu (64), Delhi (58) and Himachal Pradesh (52).
The number of active cases has more than tripled from 1,755 on January 31 to 5,915 today. But there is no dangerous situation regarding covid in the country. But there has been a decline in the number of people receiving the vaccine.
Months ago, when cases of Covid-19 surged in China and Japan, the number of daily vaccine recipients reached close to 1 lakh based on the warnings issued by the government. Now the average is only around six thousand.
