Wasted drinking water
Municipal pipes leading to the 1st mile from Cuddalore in the Nilgiris district are found to be faulty in most places. Thus drinking water is wasted. No action has been taken to repeatedly demand that new pipes be fitted to replace the faulty ones. So we have to install new pipes there to prevent wastage of drinking water.

The traffic congestion in Cuddalore is high. Currently the schools are open so the student body is going mostly in the morning and evening s. At this time some of the youngsters are going on motorcycles equipped with very loud silencer. This noise is a nuisance to the public. The police should therefore engage in intensive surveillance and take appropriate action.

Sale of tobacco products
Tobacco products are illegally stockpiled and sold in box stores and grocery stores in and around Pollachi. These are bought and used by many young people and are prone to various diseases. Police confiscate some only nominally. Therefore, strict action should be taken to prevent the sale of tobacco products.

On the road from Coimbatore Government Women’s Polytechnic to Avarampalayam, gravel was dumped near a petrol punk on the left. Two-wheelers are at risk of getting into an accident as the gravel remains intact for a long time. So those jallik stones should be removed.

Risk of accident
Umbrellas have been set up in the Anaimalai Triangle area for waiting passengers. However, passengers waiting for the bus to go to Kottur and Azhiyar are sitting on barricades on the road without using umbrellas. Thus there is a risk of accident. Therefore the concerned authorities should take action and make way for the use of passenger umbrella.

The fireplace turned into a garbage dump
There is a municipality-owned crematorium at Suleswaranpatti near Pollachi. This crematorium is currently being turned into a garbage dump. Lots of rubbish is being dumped there, causing great inconvenience due to the strong stench while transporting the bodies of the deceased for burial. So the authorities should take action and clean up the rubbish that has accumulated in the crematorium and prevent the rubbish from being dumped there.

Coimbatore RS Puram D.P. The private hospital on the road had previously broken a tree and fallen on the sidewalk. The tree has not been removed for the past one week. Thus those who walk that path suffer greatly. They also have to leave the sidewalk and walk down the road, so there is a risk of an accident. So the authorities should take action and remove those trees.

There is a flyover at Ondiputhur on Coimbatore Trichy Road. The road built on this flyover looks like a bomb crater. Thus motorists passing through that area are suffering greatly. Survivors with injuries continue to be at risk, especially as motorcyclists are involved in accidents. So the authorities should take action and rehabilitate the junk road.

Dangerous electric pole
Coimbatore Vilankurichi Co-operative City has an electric pole. The pole is tilted and can fall down at any time. No action has been taken to inform the authorities about this. Therefore, this pole should be repaired immediately as it can cause danger at any time in the inclined position.

Need to slow down
Frequent accidents occur at the Somanur Krishnapuram Senthil Nagar bus stand near Coimbatore. The public could not cross the road as vehicles were speeding. So if the authorities take action and set a speed limit here the accident can be prevented. We have to make way for it.
