Unsettled Weather with Showers and Storms Expected in the Coming Days

Temperatures struggled to warm up much of the day, reaching highs in the near-80 to mid-80s range. The presence of clouds and showers kept a cap on temperatures, except in areas where the sun made a late appearance in the afternoon. The rising humidity added stickiness to the air, which will only increase tonight and tomorrow. As we head into the next day, we run the risk of encountering a few rounds of showers and storms.

For tonight, there might be a couple of showers and storms by late evening, with a better chance of precipitation arriving pre-dawn as storms from the north move towards our area while decaying. Lows will be near or above 70, and there is a possibility of some patchy fog developing, especially in areas that experience rainfall.

Looking towards tomorrow (Friday), we can expect more showers and storms around sunrise. While they are not expected to be too intense, they might be enough to wake some people up. The temperatures will be near or above 90 as skies clear up slightly. Additionally, it will be muggy, resulting in a heat index reaching the mid-90s or even higher. As the day progresses, there could be a few late-day storms, some of which have the potential to be strong.

In terms of pollen, the current update indicates that weed pollen and mold spores are at a low to moderate level.
