Hydrogen peroxide was not detected in the milk brought from Tamil Nadu. The milk brought from Tamil Nadu seized by the Dairy Development Department from Kollam Aryankavu was tested in the lab of the Food Safety Department. In this test it was found that there is no hydrogen peroxide in the milk. The only thing the food safety department could find was the lack of fat in the milk. Meanwhile, the tanker lorry carrying 15,300 liters of milk has been at the police station for five days. The dairy development department conducted the inspection following a tip-off that adulterated milk was being smuggled into Kerala from the border states. The first reports were that hydrogen peroxide was detected in 15300 liters of milk brought in by lorry KL 31 L 9463. The driver had clarified that this is milk for the Agri Soft Dairy Farm, which operates in Pandalam. Meanwhile, Dairy Development Minister J Chinchurani expressed doubt that the presence of hydrogen peroxide in the milk could be detected as the sample was collected and tested late. At 5:30 in the morning, the dairy development department stopped the lorry from Tamil Nadu at Aryankav check post.
