This closing ceremony, marked in particular by the presence of the Wali of the region of Dakhla Oued Eddahab, governor of the province of Oued Eddahab, Ali Khalil, the president of the Regional Council, El Khattat Yanja, as well as several consuls in Dakhla, elected and representatives of civil society, saw the signing of two partnership agreements in the field of family protection.
Signed by the president of SOS Children’s Village, Amine Demnati, the president of the regional section of the Moroccan League for Child Protection in Dakhla, Khouira Ahl Takrour and the president of the Taiba association of social works, Maimouna Amidane, these conventions aim to empower the family, promote the conditions of women and protect children.
Furthermore, the first prize of this edition of Raid Sahraouiya went to the French duo Salome Raffi and Elise Pollini from the association “Un petit bagage d’amour”.
The Moroccan pair Narjiss El Fassi and Amal Adyel, representing SOS Children’s Village, placed themselves in second position, while the duo composed of the Rwandan Ernestine Umbiyeye and the Ghanaian Rahinatu Wintina of the Moroccan Agency of international cooperation and representing the FBX Rwanda association completed the podium.
In a speech for the occasion, the president of Lagon de Dakhla, Laila Ouachi, welcomed the great efforts undertaken during this edition to support the associations.
This closing ceremony was also marked by the presentation of honorary prizes to three pairs: Admila Eneida Lopes (Cape Verde) and Fanny Saïda Andriamialisoa (Madagascar) from the association for the development of Fonte Lima, Sarah and Amrance Tanteliniaina (Madagascar) from the Tsara Fo association for the aid of Madagascar, and Marine Gibard and Suzanne Cariant (France) from the Golden Blocks association.
Thus, the city of Dakhla vibrated to the rhythm of a unique event of its kind, uniting goodwill and whose main mission is the promotion of the status of women, social inclusion and the promotion of the southern provinces.
