New Delhi: The government has appointed a new chief of BSF. However, a permanent appointment has not been made for this post yet. The Home Ministry has given additional charge of Director General (BSF) Daljit Singh Chaudhary as Director General (SSB) until a regular appointment is made or until further orders. This step has been taken a day after BSF Director General Nitin Agarwal was sent back to his state cadre.

Let us tell you that the Home Ministry had removed BSF Director General Nitin Agarwal from his post and sent him back to his state cadre before time. The very next day, the Home Ministry issued a notice and handed over this responsibility to SSB DG Daljit Singh Chaudhary.

Nitin Agarwal sent back to his cadre
BSF DG Nitin Agarwal was responsible for the security of India’s borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh. He was removed from here in the middle of his tenure and orders were issued to send him back to his original state cadre Kerala. While orders were issued to send BSF Special DG Y.B. Khurania to his original state cadre with immediate effect.

removed from office mid-term
In two separate orders issued on Friday, it has been told about BSF DG Nitin Agarwal that the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has ordered to send 1989 batch IPS of Kerala cadre and BSF DG Agarwal back to his original state cadre with immediate effect. In this case, the Union Home Ministry had given a proposal to send him back to his original state cadre before time. The committee approved it and approved to send him back to Kerala. IPS Agarwal took over as BSF DG in June last year.

Special DG was also removed from his post
Similarly, the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has ordered the return of Odisha cadre’s 1990 batch IPS and BSF’s Special DG Y.B. Khurania to their original cadre. This proposal was also given by the Home Ministry. Which was approved by the committee. Khurania was leading the force on the Pakistan border as BSF’s Special DG (West). At present, no official is ready to say anything about the orders to send these two top BSF officers back to their original cadre. But it is believed that the way terrorist attacks have increased in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few days, these decisions were probably taken in view of that.
