/ Local Syrian sources reported on Monday that an explosion was heard in the vicinity of the Sayyida Zeinab area, south of the capital, Damascus.

The sources said that an air strike targeted farms extending between the Aqraba and Sayyida Zeinab areas, south of Damascus.

For its part, the Russian Sputnik Agency said that the Syrian air defenses intercepted Israeli missiles in the Quneitra countryside, southwest of Syria.

It also reported that Syrian air defenses confronted an Israeli aggression, while explosions were heard in the Sayyida Zeinab area.

She added that initial information indicates that a number of missiles were launched from the Golan Heights, attempting to target some sites around the Sayyida Zeinab area, south of Damascus.

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the targeting that took place in the Sayyida Zeinab area led to the destruction of a headquarters that is likely to belong to the Lebanese Hezbollah, and also includes the presence of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Iraqi groups.

He explained that the building was completely destroyed, amid confirmed information about human losses, explaining that this targeting is likely Israeli.

He explained that the regime’s air defenses were launched but were unable to thwart this air attack.
