Simple Energy has released new information about its electric scooter. This scooter is said to travel over 300 km on a single charge. On August 15, 2021, Ola introduced the electric scooters such as the S1 & S1 Pro and Simple Energy’s Simple One. Ola has been delivering its scooters to customers since last December. But various consumers have complained about the features and quality of the Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters.

The launch of this longer range Simple One electric scooter is the result of the latest electric scooter update from Bangalore – based electric vehicle maker Simple Energy. SimpleEnergy has introduced an additional battery pack option for its flagship electric scooter, the Simple One. It offers customers a distance of 300+ km on a single charge. With deliveries set to begin in June, those interested can opt for the additional battery pack option during the final payment.

The 1.6 kWh battery pack will enable the Simple One scooter to cover a distance of 300+ km and can be booked for Rs 1,947 and will be available from June this year. It has been reported that further updates will be announced in the coming weeks. This scooter update also includes a more powerful electric motor with 72Nm of peak torque for more performance in addition to increased mileage. One of the most interesting claims with the latest update of the SimpleOne electric scooter is that the electric motor in the Simple One is capable of producing 8.5kW of power and 72Nm of peak torque while managing 96% efficiency.

Based on the Simple Energy information, the original variant uses 2 battery packs, a standard battery pack and a 2nd removable and portable battery pack. The standard battery pack is rated at 3.2kWh and the battery capacity of the original variant is estimated at 4.8kWh. Currently the newly introduced variant 2 has removable battery packs. This is a new variant of the Simple One scooter that can cover a distance of 300+ km on a single charge. The original variant of the SimpleOne electric scooter is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh, while the new variant with extra battery pack is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, meanwhile, commented on the new battery pack. Providing additional battery accordingly will allow those who use electricity to reach places that no electric motorcycle can reach. So this is a big milestone not only for Simple Energy but also for the EV industry. ”
