“Dancing on the counter of Striscia la Notizia was a trauma. In America when I go out with my daughter we look like two crazy women”: Elisabetta Canalis’ memories

by time news

Elizabeth Canalis is in cinemas all over Italy because he is one of the protagonists of the film “How to make mom and dad fight” Of Gianluca Ansanelli, with Giampaolo Morelli and Carolina Crescentini. The film revolves around the two parents Miriam (Carolina Crescentini) and Stefano (Giampaolo Morelli) who, more than ever, are accomplices and in love, taking care of their son Gabriele who, however, feels trapped. When his parents reveal to him their desire to move out of town, he realizes that the only solution to avoid this nightmare is to separate them.

And speaking of separations, Canalis talked about her ex-husband Brian Perri: “There are no perfect families, only those who have found a balance. Lucky those who succeed. Have Brian and I found a balance? We have shifted the focus from the couple to our daughter. There is harmony, but it is a work in progress, the work of every day. Our daughter Skyler is lucky, she has a present and attentive father. Mine worked until late at night, I experienced him as an authoritarian figure. The work of a parent comes without instructions”.

From America to Italy: “When I go back to Milan I pay attention to the bar too, here in the morning I go out with my daughter and we look like two crazy people. My school is full of beautiful mothers and I am anything but flashy. I bought a pickup truck, welcomed with laughter and wonder: nothing like the pink Mercedes of other mothers. I miss the evil communications of the school but in the class there is an Italian mother with three children, I trust her. I have a nice little group, with her and an Iranian mother”.

Her memory then runs to the program that gave her maximum popularity in Italy, “Striscia la Notizia”: “Dancing on the counter was a trauma. I defeated the nightmare with fussiness. I’m not a dancer but a kickboxer, a sport where gender limits disappear: defend and attack. From Antonio Ricci I learned to verify, doubt, scale down”.
