As indicated in academic grammar, many foreign voices that finish in -y preceded by consonant replace the -y by -i to adapt to Spanish. This is the case of anglicisms such as dandy, panty y ferrywhich are adapted to Spanish with the forms to be given, House y ferri respectively, as collected in the academic dictionary, and that form the plural by adding a -s: of giving, of bread, of iron.
If you decide to use Anglicism dandyor on plural, dandies (no dandys), it is appropriate to write it in italics because it is a crude foreign term.
