The phenomenon of laser terror from the terrorists’ village to Muayir has been going on almost every evening for a long time, endangering the lives of Jews traveling on Alon Road (458).
Despite the appeals of the residents to the IDF demanding to stop the phenomenon and the rock terror that also comes out, almost on a daily basis, from the direction of El Muayir, no terrorist has been arrested so far on suspicion of using a laser in order to blind Jewish drivers and cause an accident.
The IDF says that as part of the attempt to prevent the phenomenon, the security forces distributed warning leaflets using a drone to the residents of the village and several brigade operations were carried out in the village in order to eradicate the phenomenon.
An IDF spokesperson said: “In recent months, a number of incidents have been identified in which suspects from the village of “El Muayir” in the Binyamin regional division used a laser to blind the passengers on the Alon road near the village.
The IDF views any attempt to harm passengers on the road as serious, and acts in a variety of ways and in cooperation with the other security forces in the sector in order to prevent attempts of this type.” (Photo: Archive)
