As part of a focused enforcement activity by the traffic police in the Shi’i district, an intensive enforcement activity was carried out, the main of which was the enforcement of drivers who drive on the road in a way that endangers the public road users, bullying and endangering lives. As part of the activity, 365 reports of life-threatening offenses were registered. In addition, 65 licenses were revoked and 45 vehicles were impounded .
One of the drivers caught is a truck driver who made a detour on an unoccupied road while actually endangering those coming in the opposite lane and causing them to deviate from their lane. The driver was caught safely by the traffic police and at the end of the treatment his license was seized for 30 and the truck in his possession was disabled for 30 days.
The police said: “The police will continue to work to change the driving culture, while incorporating information and prevention actions for drivers.”
