In this episode, an elderly farmer Mahavir (60)’s health deteriorated while spraying pesticides on crops in the field two days ago in Lakhau village of Dudhwakhara police station area of ​​Churu district of Rajasthan. The family members admitted the elderly man in critical condition to the emergency ward of Government DB Hospital. Where the doctors present there treated him. Till the time of writing the news, the condition of that elderly farmer remains critical. In the hospital, the elderly farmer’s son Nemichand told that his father was spraying pesticides on crops in the field. When he went to the field, his father was lying unconscious. When he vomited, there was a smell of pesticide in his vomit. In the hospital, the family members said that probably due to excessive spraying, the pesticide went to his head or his health may have deteriorated due to not washing hands with water after spraying.

A farmer had died in Jhunjhunu

If sources are to be believed, a farmer in the district died recently after falling unconscious while he was spraying on the crop in the field. The farmer’s health deteriorated while spraying. He later died. Such cases often come to light from time to time. In such a situation, farmers and cultivators need to use the pesticides with caution.

According to the news received, the standing moong crop in 5 bigha of the field of a farmer named Rajkumar, resident of Raadon Ke Bas of Ladusar Gram Panchayat adjacent to Jhunjhunu district headquarters in Rajasthan, got spoiled when this farmer brought a spray of a well-known company from the seed store and sprayed it. Along with that, boric acid was also sprayed in it. The farmer used the spray to get a good yield of the crop but the opposite happened. Now the affected farmer appealed to the department for help. Agriculture officials advised to spray lime and buttermilk. By doing this, some crop was saved. Agriculture officials say that before using any spray, show it to agriculture experts or agriculture supervisors.

Farmers should consult the agriculture department before spraying on crops

Deputy Director of Jhunjhunu Horticulture Department, Sheeshram Jakhar says that many farmers in the region are not very educated and due to this, out of ignorance and greed, they buy whatever the shopkeeper gives and spray it on the crop to get a good yield. He says that just as medicines are used in human life on the advice of doctors, similarly, any insecticide or any chemical like spray to increase the yield should be sprayed on crops only on the advice of the Agriculture Department or agricultural experts so that there is no adverse effect on life and crops.
