In Italy and Spain, which are among the most popular tourist countries in Europe, a dangerous virus, West Nile fever, has been recorded. However, in our country it has already reached record levels.

Manchester Evening News writes about this.

Doctors are concerned because they have recorded local cases of infection, that is, they were not brought to Europe from tropical countries. West Nile fever, which is transmitted through mosquito bites, was recorded in Seville (Spain) – 1 infected, as well as in Modena (Italy) – 1 infected. Infected mosquitoes were also found in the Italian province of Chieti.

It is known that the virus causes fever, rashes and weakness in the body, as well as vomiting. In severe cases of the disease, convulsions and even paralysis may occur. If a person suspects that he or she has contracted the virus, it is necessary to seek help immediately.

“Kursor” wrote earlier that an outbreak of West Nile fever was recorded in Israel this summer, which has already broken all records for the number of infected patients, so doctors are seriously concerned. 12 people have already died from the disease.

We also wrote that a dangerous infection was discovered on the beaches in Haifa.
