Former player Daniel Alves will be tried for the rape of a young woman at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona. The Brazilian has been arrested since January as a result of the complaint. Alves will answer for “the crime of sexual assault”, according to sources at the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia, but there is still no date for the trial. The case took place in the early hours of December 31, 2022, after the right-back had played in the Qatar Cup.
