Why does Daniel Bisogno need a liver transplant?

‘El Muñe’, as they affectionately call the driver, explained that the health problems that he has suffered since last year and for which he requires a Liver transplant it is because he suffers fatty liver, a condition that can cause scarring in this organ and, over time, serious complications.

“Everything that I have experienced these months in the hospital has been because of the liver… as a result of having fatty liver, which later combined with the fact that I lost weight… everything seems that (the liver) is bad, but not that bad. What doctors need to do… there were many options, but the only one that is curative and palliative is transplant. And that is what is going to be done.”

Furthermore, the driver confessed that it is likely that he will undergo this surgical procedure very soon because on the waiting list, there is only one more person ahead of him.
