Daniel Craig, known for portraying the secret agent James Bond in the “007” franchise, was the major highlight last Tuesday (3) at the 2024 Venice Film Festival with his latest film, “Queer,” a production by Luca Guadagnino (“Rivals”).
Set in Mexico during the 1950s, the title features Craig as an American expatriate who starts a romance with a young student, played by Drew Starkey (“Love, Simon”).

The film also caught the public’s attention at the festival thanks to the gay sex scenes involving the duo.
During the press conference, the actor was asked about the sequences. “There’s nothing intimate about filming a sex scene on a set,” Craig explained.
“We just wanted to make the scene as touching, real, and natural as possible. Drew is a wonderful, fantastic actor and a pleasure to work with, and we had fun together. We tried to make the process enjoyable.” The information is from The Guardian.
Based on the homonymous novel by William Burroughs, a key author of the beat literary movement, the production does not yet have a release date in Brazil.
