After Edwin Arrieta’s sister, Darling, has intervened on different Spanish television stations asking for justice so that the murder and dismemberment of the surgeon allegedly by Daniel Sancho Bronchalo does not go unpunished, now it is the lawyer for the family of the victim in Colombia who has put Rodolfo Sancho’s son on the ropes by revealing that there is compelling evidence -which is not yet publicly known- that directly incriminates, and without any doubt, the young chef.
In statements to the program ‘Así es la vida’, Miguel González Sánchez has confirmed that he has started on behalf of the Arrieta the necessary actions through the foreign ministry of your country to designate a team of lawyers handling the case in Thailand, with whom he will work to prove Daniel’s guilt.
Despite not wanting to go into details, the legal representative of Edwin Arrieta has insinuated that the Thai police have not made public all the details and evidence of the investigation that began just a week ago. -on Thursday the 3rd the first remains of the surgeon were found in garbage bags in a landfill on the island of Koh Phangan- and has revealed that the family has “more information, quite solid, that points to his guilt”.
Data and evidence that are not publicly known, that have been transferred to the Colombian consul in Thailand and that, as the lawyer suggests -despite not being able to reveal them at the moment, hoping that the Prosecutor’s Office will do so official- “is blunt” and would point directly to Daniel Sancho as the sole perpetrator of the heinous crime: “The new evidence forcefully incriminates the defendant. The elements show that there was only one person and he is the one who confessed the facts,” he explained.

In addition, Miguel González Sánchez has assured that what interests them is not “the motive” that would have led Sancho Gracia’s grandson to allegedly murder and dismember Edwin Arrieta, but to find out how the events could have happened by making a chronology of time from that the surgeon arrived in Thailand until the first parts of his body were found in a landfill. “We are not interested in the reason why he did it. The cruelty with which he acted and what was generated afterwards proves the atrocity with which he acted and that is enough,” he said.
On the other hand, the lawyer has assured that the Arrieta family is not considering requesting Daniel’s extradition to Colombia because they believe that the crime should be tried where it was committed, in Thailand, and that it has to be in the Southeast Asian country where the youth serving time if found guilty; something that Edwin’s parents and sister are clear about, so they won’t stop until justice is done and the chef ‘pays’ for the brutal death of the Colombian surgeon.
