jpnn.com – JAYAPURA – Danramil 1703-04 Aradide Letda Inf. Oktovianus Sogalrey was shot dead by the Free Papua Organization (OPM) in the Pasir Putih area, Aradide District, Paniai Regency, Central Papua. The incident occurred on Thursday 11 April 2024.
Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Chandra Kurniawan confirmed the information that OPM was the perpetrator of the shooting at Danramil 1703-04 Aradide Letda Inf. Oktovianus Sogalrey.
“The victim was attacked and shot by the OPM group in the Pasir Putih area, Aradide District, Paniai Regency, Central Papua, Thursday (11/4),” said Lt. Col. Inf. Candra Kurniawan when contacted from Jayapura, Papua, Friday (12/4).
From the report received by Kapendam, the incident started when the victim left Makoramil 1703-4/Aradide, Wednesday (10/4) afternoon.
However, we waited until Thursday (11/4) morning, and the person concerned did not return.
After that, a search was carried out and the victim was found dead from a gunshot wound.
“Shortly after being found, the victim’s body was evacuated to Enarotali, then taken to Nabire,” explained Chandra. (antara/jpnn)
