Dante in the world, Admiral Beatrice

The Lectura Dantis of the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin | Courier TV

Beatrice’s itinerary in Dante’s work and in the Comedy guides the actors Lara Feith and Emre Aksizoğlu in reading some verses of cantos XXII del Paradiso and XXX and XXXI del Purgatorio taken from the German version of the poem (translation by Hartmut Köhler, Philipp Complaint jun. Verlag GmbH, 2013). In an alternation of images of some of Berlin’s most iconic places, the performance is intertwined with the reflections of Professor Bernhard Huss, professor of Italian studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, and Dagmar Korbacher, director of the Kupferstichkabinett (Prints and Drawings Department).
