One of the most famous Canti della Commedia, as intense as the story of the two lovers that is told here, that of Paolo and Francesca: Canto V of the Inferno is the starting point for the reading and thematic reflections proposed by the Institute Italian of Culture of Warsaw. On stage, the dialogue between the Italianists Piotr Salwa, former Director of the Department of Italian Studies at the University of Warsaw and former Director of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Rome, and Jaroslaw Mikolajewski, poet, journalist, essayist, translator, former Director of the Polish Institute of Culture in Rome. The interpretation of the actress Danuta Stenka from Boska Komedia translated by Edward Porębowicz (Państwowy Instytut Wydawniczy, 1990) acts as a lyrical counterpoint.
